How this journey began

I had been watching Master Chef 2010 when I was inspired by Peter Gilmore's "Guava and Custard Apple Snow Eggs".  I was on a mission - I was going to make that damn dessert even if it killed me!! (Results to follow shortly)

So, whilst researching on the net for hemisphere moulds, I stumbled across a fellow blogger's website and she had made a tropical version

It was whilst I was reading her fabulous blog, that I noted that she was a proud member of Daring Bakers - I was so intrigued, that I followed the link...

Needless to say, I signed up and joined the world of The Daring Kitchen.

After I signed up I share my exciting news with some of my colleague's and two others decided to sign up as well - both names start with "B" so from now I'll refer to them and "Ba&Be"
So, between "Ba&Be"  it was decided that we'd bring our challenges into work and our colleague's would judge each one and vote for their favourite.  The catch is that they (the judges) have to pay a "Judging" fee for the privilege and at the end of the year, we will donate the prize money to a charity of our choice.
Now, this will work for some challenges, but as all you cooks and bakers know, it's not always possible to bring the final product into the office - souffle for example must be eaten immediately ;-)
